recipe
- 3 apples, peeled, pitted, chopped
- 2 tbs calvados
- 1 tbs cinnamon
- 100 g nuts, mixed (I took walnut, hazelnut, pecan & macadamia), chopped
- 140 g plain flour
- 1 tbs baking powder
- 3 eggs
- 175 g butter
- 140 g brown sugar
how to do
- preheat the oven to 170 degree
- mix the apples with the cinnamon & calvados in a bowl
- whisk the sugar with the butter till its creamy in another bowl
- then add each egg & whisk to the creamy sugar-butter mixture
- add the screened flour & baking powder into mixture
- whisk all again
- add the nuts & apples
- fill all into a baking form (I prefer a silicon form, no buttering is needed & it does not stick)
- smooth the dough down with a spatula
- put into the oven for about 50-60 min.
